Now this is my type of album. A gritty mixture of rock-a-billy, 60's mod rock, and 70's punk.... all shape "Cheap Trinkets" into an album of substance. The Beltones are back in the saddle with their first full-length album. These Gainesville punk rockers have recruited a new rythm section which rounds out TKO's most sought after and popular band. Besides new versions of "Aint No Life" and "Shitty In Pink", The Beltones also manage to produce quite the cover of Marley's "Concrete Jungle". For all the street-punks out there I have one suggestion..... save up the money you spend at the thrift store like myself and go buy yourself "Cheap Trinkets" by The Beltones. It will give you the same enjoyment if not more.
