Hey Mercedes latest release is a four song EP featuring the well-known "Our Weekend Starts On Wednesday" plus three previously unreleased songs, "Save a life", "Everybody's working for the weak" and "Wearing a wire". Though Vagrant says "Our weekend starts on Wednesday" is remastered for this release, I can't tell the difference. It's still an awesome fast song with great lyrics. The other three songs were recorded during the same studio session as their album "Every Night Fireworks" so the sound is the same as the album, quality indie-rock. The quality of the songs actually surprised me, since usually non-album tracks aren't as good as album tracks, but in this case all three songs are winners, with "Save a life" instantly becoming one of my favorite Hey Mercedes songs ever. "Everybody's working for the weak" is my least favorite track, probably because it tends to get a little boring after a while, but it still blows most other bands away. "Wearing a wire" is a little different than other Hey Mercedes songs, slower and quieter though it still has that Hey Mercedes feel. If you liked Hey Mercedes before, than you should buy this right now. And the artwork is amazing as usual.
