Reminiscent of the Ramones.... WHOAH! Did I just say reminiscent of the Ramones? I'm currently heading home on the train and that's the first thing that came to mind, even though it may sound like a stretch.... it isn't. At least the guitar melodies are reflective of those trademark Ramone's riffs we've all come to love. As the train reached the halfway point between New York City and Trenton I played the first track "Victoria", the first thought "Ramones" came to mind. "Victoria" is true the pride of this album, and is an explosive anthem sure to be loved by all. Being able to obtain a level of catchyness without being drowned out by pop is something One Man Army has been able to do with the song. Throughout many Ramone's albums if you listen closely enough there was a lack of guitar solos, because the band was "one". One Man Army is no different and reflects that same skill. Seeing One Man Army previously on the True Believers Tour with The Bouncing Souls really didn't do anything for me, but the addition of Chip Hanna from the punk rock veteran US. Bombs has helped the band find a perfect balance between their intruments and vocals. Each and every track is pressurized with an unparallel level of punk rock that is sure to hold you over for the thirty minute duration...... and then some!
