This DVD is the Hardcore version of that terrifying Bumfights video of a few years back where rich white dudes exploit the homeless on camera.  The main difference between Hotter! Wetter! Stickier! Funner! and Bumfights is that the latter didn’t have really well shot and produced concert footage and it wasn’t as overtly homophobic.
 
This is a relatively short movie/documentary plus a full live set by Evergreen Terrace.  Explain why it is necessary to spend so much of the on camera time making hostile jokes about being gay or making fun of old homeless drunks.  I know Evergreen Terrace is both straightedge and christian so perhaps they are simply acting upon their beliefs that homosexuality and drinking are wrong.  Either way it makes for very uncomfortable viewing.  Which is a shame for two reasons 1. The live video is extremely well put together by the good folks at High Roller Studios and 2. It sucks to watch close minded jerks who hate one group of people and exploit another.
 
And then they go bowling.  As fun as bowling can be, watching bowling is lame sauce.  Even though they’re tattooed florida hardcore kids, it’s boring. 
 
Maybe some people will watch the DVD and be able to look past the fact that it’s about some rich white kids making destitute black and latino homeless men perform for them on camera (and have the gall to label the section as ‘Friends’).  Maybe these few will enjoy the music and the performance, I could not.  My stomach had turned and my fingers had turned the movie off.
