The music stops, the lights go down, and the band makes their final steps towards the stage. The audience knows what's coming. As their screams progressively grow louder, each member of the band takes their position. Suddenly, in what seems like a matter of seconds, the lights are shining brightly amongst the audience, the instruments are turned on, and the lovely sound of feedback ensues, along with a few words:  “Long Island, baby!....What's up?!” And so begins the show. Catch 22 provides an extremely solid show  in this performance, proving that after all these years, ska music can still bring out the best of crowds.

On almost every track of the CD, you can hear the crowd singing along with the band. The vocals coming from the audience are low enough in the mix that they aren't drowning out the band itself, but they are at just the right volume to still be audible. The setlist seems to show off the best of Catch 22, as they provide some old time classics and fan favorites, such as “On and On and On,” “What Goes Around Comes Around,” and “Chasing the Moon.” The DVD portion of this double-disc set contains the entire concert. The footage is very well shot, which came as no surprise, considering the sound itself is great.

There are also some extras thrown into the mix for the truly devoted Catch 22 fans. Now's your chance to see the guys when they were young, as well as some home videos and additional tour footage from past dates. I couldn't help but give this record five stars. The audience is having the time of their lives, and it's obvious that the band themselves are enjoying it just the same. I've seen Catch 22 once in the past a number of years ago, and surprisingly, this CD seemed to almost imitate that night perfectly. For anyone who has ever gone to a show, longing they could relive that night again and again and again, here's your chance. And for those who are concerned about prices, fear not; The double-disc set runs for about the same price as a normal CD (average of $15). Now you, the listener, can bring Catch 22 and the rest of Farmingdale, NY to your living room!
