The third track “Pictures of Hope,” sounds like a New Found Glory out take, circa their self-titled record. Then, when you realize that NFG singer Jordan Pudnik’s brother Daniel fronts The Big Screen, the familial resemblance sits down in the front row of your mind and won’t leave, almost blocking the screen from view. You can’t stop thinking, “And that sounds like NFG, and that too, and that...” Luckily, The Big Screen sounds like NFG before they hit the suck, you know, back in the good old pre-MTV days. Undecided Records has a great band on their hands; given a few more formative years and tours. Pay attention to them, after some more development, The Big Screen may be co-headlining Skate & Surf while the heartbroken teenagers scour record stores for this EP.
