Bad Religion is probably one of those bands you first fell in love with when you fell in love with punk rock. The first "Punk rock concert" (yes, it was in an arena) was Blink 182 with Bad Religion opening, touring in support of their album "A New America." This is all before Brett Gurewitz (original guitarist/songwriter, and owner of Epitaph records) rejoined the band, signed them to Epitaph (off of Atlantic) and kind of acted as a defibulator to a sinking band, one of the longest running punk bands in the world today. Their previous release "Process of Belief" was a change...and it was actually quite good. This is ever so similar, but still good...oh, and it's got the best cover art since "Suffer." Nothing you haven't heard, still full of those catchy little melody hooks and such. As for lyrical/song content, it seems like the band is actually living up to its name. Songs like "Atheist Peace" (At first glance I thought it was "Atheist Priest" and I was all "haha that's freaking AWESOME) and "God's Love". The rest are about, you know what, yeah you do! War! Society! Leaders and Followers! And how they all SUCK! Vocally, Mr. Graffin's voice still remains the same, which is surprising since these guys are all getting old (Cept for like, the one young guy in the band, Wackerman I think his name is). The voice you grew up with, the voice against God and Government! Again, in closing, we're not breaking that much new ground here. It's not "Suffer," but they're making longer songs and albums these days. It has a song called "Boot Stamping on a Human Face." Not ONLY is the title bad ass, so is the song. If you liked "Process of Belief," there's no reason that you won't like this (guest review: Ian from punkunited.com).
