Crime In Stereo are definately a band to watch out for. Sounding like a cross between Gorilla Biscuits Madcap and Kill Your Idols, this band is energetic, raw and literally explosive while still managing to make sense out of their music. They're definately a band to see live in order to get the full effect of the music. This album, "Expolsives and the Will to use Them," is not something to put on while your grandma's in the car. From the first note of "Amsterdamned," to the last note of "Arson at 563," it's nonstop pulsating drum beats and powerful vocals. Singer, Kristian Hallbert has a deep voice which lacks that typical nasally whine that's so typical in music these days. The only negatives for Crime in Stereo: they're too much like what they're being compared to. Not to say the album wasn't to be enjoyed, because it was impressive and Crime In Stereo certainly has an interesting future ahead of them, but they've got to find their own niche that makes them unique, rather than another punk band.
