This is a very weird and interesting cd. It`s not punk or hardcore, but it rocks enough face to get a review. Starring members from the Melvins, Slayer, and the musical genius of Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Lovage, Dillinger Escape Plan [irony is a dead scene ep]). I am a huge Mike Patton fan, so I was very excited to get this record.  it is, however, somewhat difficult. It is a one track, 74 minute long soundtrack to a surgery, filled with slow, quiet breakdowns, surreal vocal layerings, and building tension. It is a masterpiece, there is no doubt about it, but it is a very inaccessible cd for the average listener, since it requires 74 minutes straight to listen to it, and because it is so dark and quiet most of the time. If you don’t know who mike patton is, pick up Mr. Bungle’s “Disco Volante” or “California,” or get the Dillinger Escape Plan EP “Irony is a Dead Scene.” Get acquainted with his style, then come back to Delirium Cordia and revel in it.
