On Broken Wings is a 6-peice hardcore band from Boston, and have recently released their debut album "Some of Us May Never See The World." Once I pressed play on my cd player, I was overcome by high energy guitar playing, pounding drum beats and passionate screaming on the first track "Maybe The Earth is Flat." I'd compare this band to the likes of Converge or Every Time I die. However, once you've heard one track, you've heard them all. With the exception of song 5, "The Sprawing of Progression," which delivers a long melodic intro, every song on the album sounds virtually the same. It's like hearing the same song ten times but with different words.  For a debut album, On Broken Wings has not made a stellar impression. I think it's safe to say this band has a long way to go and a lot to learn.
