Yet another band is on a quest to formulate there own genre, and they have done a hell of a job. Their name is Thrice and they come to you from Irvine, California. Fans of Finch, Glassjaw, and other genre forming groups should definately check out "the illusion of safety" which hits the pavement 2/5/2002. The guitar leads are followed by brain-shaking beats, which are coated with abstract lyrics that make you think. One of the best aspects of this album is Thrice's abuility to draw you in and make you want more. They give it to you, and I think you'll be happy they do. Thrice is yet another band that has made a mark on my musical appreciation. If you look deeper, listen deeper, and think deeper, "the illusion of safety" will make it's mark on you.
