I turn green just listening to Flogging Molly wrip into "Drunken Lullabies", the first track on their new album. Their Irish influences are being constantly mingled with the heavy storytelling of singer Dave King. In an interview I did with Dave King on The True Believer's Tour with The Bouncing Souls he said the following to describe the album..... " It's a really kick ass fuckin album. Even the slow songs are kick ass, they are so good. It's wonderful to have songs with so much going on and they're rockin, then you have songs with barely anything going on but there is still this rockin kind of way. I'm personally very happy. There's quite a bit of banjo on this one and some pipes on it." Tales of struggle, triumph, emotion, and lastly Guiness are blue-print for this sure to be successful album. If you're wondering what the difference is between Flogging Molly's two albums? "Drunken Lullabies" is by far heavier and definately more mature. What the hell are you waiting for? The album comes out March 19th and its suggested you stop by your nearest liquor store before you pop this disc in your stereo. Enjoy!
