Mi6 is a new band on the Kung Fu Records roster. I won't use the word "astonishing" but like the other Kung Fu acts, mi6 stands for quality punk rock. The songs on this album reflect Screeching Weasel influences, certainly lyrically. I hate Screeching Weasel, so I need to emphasize that mi6 is way, way better. Mi6's songs are fairly simplistic, but in a charming way. Screeching Weasel's songs are downright simplistic. "Lunchbox" starts off with the title track, moreover, the best song on this CD. Great tempo switches, fine backings, a tight guitar riff, absolutely my thing. More fine compositions that deserve mentioning are "High Life", "Mojo" and "How To Be An Idiot".
