Following in the footsteps of labelmates Strike Anywhere, these political hardcore rockers waste no time in their energetic debut full-length "Ringing in the Dawn". Trial By Fire brings to the table the hardcore knowledge they learned from the respectful Washington D.C. scene that so many great hardcore acts came out of. The band's debut consists of eleven anthems covering social subjects that effect all of our daily lives. The only criticism I have of the album is how similar it sounds to Strike Anywhere. People may agree or disagree and that's fine. I'm a Strike Anywhere fan, but when two bands on the same label sound so similar (to me at least) it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They both are political punk rockers who base their songs around a lot of the same things. If you're a Strike Anywhere fan I definately suggest you give Trial By Fire a listen. I was just hoping for a more unique effort on their debut release.
