Taking Back Sunday is keeping the streak going of bands to make it "big" from the all too familiar... Long Island. With an original member of The Movielife as a part of the mix, at times the band reflects that sound, but then again also goes out on their own tangent to explore the aspects of the genre like their labelmates Thursday have. Taking Back Sunday's catchy choruses belted out by Adam Lazarra fit perfectly with the harmonies and powerful guitar lines of Eddie Rays and John Nolan. These names may not ring a bell, but give it some time and you'll be "telling all your friends" about this band. From influences ranging from Fugazi to Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday is the perfect mixture of rock and pop. These guys are a band that make you think, from their musical to their lyrical capability. It's all there. Taking Back Sunday will be participating on a part of The Victory Records Tour so be sure to check them out.
