Revelation found it's way into the vault to pull out some of the rarest recordings, including some of the most hard to find recordings in Revelation's history. The label began in 1987 sporting the best of New York's hardcore bands, but fifteen years later it has branched out and that can be heard throughout these twenty tracks. Each and every track is either unreleased, new and exclusive, or an outtake from different recordings, and more. Some highlights for me included Quicksand's "Dine Alone" (unreleased demo 1991) which obviously was a stepping stone for the emotional hardcore bands in today's scene. Also, "Do It Yourself" by the Gorilla Biscuits features the worst recording of the complilation, but taking into account that it was their first demo from 1987 I'll let this one slip. You ask where's the Slipknot? No need to fear, Slipknot is here. They make do their part with "Some Friend" (unreleased from s/t recording session) while The Movielife contributes "Fake Blood" (first demo) from the good old days when they were more hardcore and less pop. "Rev: 100" definately consists of more unreleased material than I have seen in a long time, and feel that the diversity of bands make this history lesson all the better. From Shai Hulud to Ignite to Youth of Today to Sick Of It All..... it's all wrapped into this time capsule of hardcore memories.
