No matter how many times ska has been knocked down, or had a back turned on it, it has always seemed to reappear with a vengence. 2002 will see new releases by MU330, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, Big D and The Kids Table, and most excitingly the return of The Toasters. Problems may have stopped them from going full speed ahead at times, but now that Moon Ska has been put to rest.... the ska veterans have found a loving home with Mike Park and Asian Man Records. Not many bands in the punk, ska, hardcore scene have been going strong for twenty one years but The Toasters have what it takes, and there is no evidence of them slowing down. These eight ska/reggae veterans not only have 4,000 shows under their wing tips, but also have ten full-lengths, this one being the most exciting. "Enemy of The System" will make you skank, and you may even go as far as playing the air trumpet. No matter what anyone says ska is on it's way back. It may not be as big as it once was, but music is one big cycle and will constantly be in rotation.
