After hearing Something Corporate for the first time with their debut EP "Audioboxer" on Drive-Thru Records I didn't know what to really think. I thought the band had a special sound, that seperated itself from the punk, indie scene. I then saw the band at a club in New York in front of thirty people. They played their hearts out like a band would in front of 2,000 people, and I walked away thinking about how big these guys are gonna get. A few months later they signed to MCA and this is the result. "Leaving Through The Window" features a driving sound coated over with blending guitars, trademark piano chords, and an incredible string arrangement. I never thought I'd be talking about an incredible string arrangement when describing an indie rock/punk band, but one can't help but to be amazed by them. The scene is constantly finding itself in need of new, unique sounds, and with "Leaving Through The Window" you will be provided with just that. An album that goes back to rock music began, and strays away from the labels of punk, pop, punk, and metal.
