Probably the most interesting thing about this band, about which I know absolutely nothing, is the cover art, which is quite different and unlike what you'll see from other bands. The music on the other hand is an entirely different matter. Song after song is full of obnoxious screaming and bludgeoning, monotonous riffs and not much else. The band's choice of art direction doesn't help matters. By using a weird ‘code,' one should try and decipher the lyrics, which is total bullshit. Hey guys, you might want to try something next time around, actually two things, melody and originality.

One thing that might help this record and maybe this band would be the use of some quieter instrumentation, instead of trying to deafen the audience and pummel them into submission, maybe strapping on some acoustic guitars on a song like "No One is Invincible" might differentiate it from the thousands of other similar-sounding songs out there in the universe.

The one bright spot in this dismal state of affairs is the instrumentation in the beginning of the laughably titled "I'll Die with No Friends and a Grin on My Face." The pounding drums and the interesting bass work grab the listener's attention with their in-your-face simplicity but as soon as the vocals enter, everything comes crashing down around them. I don't know what it is about the vocalist but he's just so fucking annoying you want to throw the record out of the stereo before it's even halfway done.

If you're looking for something new and exciting in 2008, Inhale/Exhale is not the way to go. You're better off listening to the new Underoath record than you are this piece of shit.
