This is what I know plenty of the Get Up Kids fans have been waiting for. It's a compiling of their songs that were all released in the past either on records, as bonus tracks, or on compilations. The album is seventeen tracks long, and almost half the album is covers. They cover great bands such as The Cure, New Order, David Bowie, The Pixies, Motley Crue, and The Replacements to name a few. I don't know how great I feel as though the covers are, but they have been out for a few years now and reviewed by many people. If you like the original artists songs, it's a cover, you are probably not going to like the Get Up Kids butchering the songs that the other bands did originally. I really can't say that reviewing this album is what I am doing. I'm more of a person that can tell you all the songs on the album were put together well and all should be released for everyone to hear on one CD. It's all material that you most likely wouldn't have unless you are a die-hard fan and have been since 1996. Some would say that this band is over rated, but I can't say that. They play the music they love, people enjoy the lyrics, and the way they can dance along to them. If you didn't grab this yet and you are into them, it's worth it to have a new album that isn't necessarily new material. Just remember they have an album coming out with new material in 2002.
