Sum 41 Vocalist Marries Avril Lavigne

Posted by Archive Bot on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 5:52 PM

According to Yahoo Avril Lavigne married longtime boyfriend, fellow rocker Deryck Whibley, Canadian media has reported. The wedding ceremony took place Saturday afternoon in Montecito, a California coastal town north of Los Angeles where the couple lives. Around 110 people attended the event, while dozens of paparazzi flocked to the location hoping to snap pictures.

Punkbands.com note: I find somewhat strange that Deryck had time to post a lot of answers to fan questions on their website on Saturday morning - maybe to stress down?

You guys need to take them and Nickleback back.... oh, and Michael Bolton too. Accually, now that I think on it, you guys have released alot of shit on us. Oh well, Canada produced Propagandhi and the Weakerthans, that more than makes up for it.

Whoa whoa whoa. While I sympathize with your pain regarding Nickelback - trust me, it's actually worse when you live in Canada - we did not, under any circumstances, have anything to do with Michael Bolton.

When I read your post, I immediately went to Wikipedia to see where he's from, and he's from Connecticut.

Ok, no Michael Bolton, but here is a list. Celine Dion, Rush, Shania Twain, Barenaked Ladies, Simple Plan, Bryan Adams, Paul Anka.... I'm sure there are more.

Now I know America consistantly puts out utter shit, but we also control popular culture for all of western civilization.

Actually Rush is extremely talented and good, so I would thank Canada for them.
