Billboard Notables & Top Indie Albums

Posted by Archive Bot on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 10:25 AM

After missing last week's top albums (I was getting drunk, poolside in the Florida sun), here's this week's Billboard Top Albums custom fitted to our little genre and the top 25 independent albums.

1. Red Hot Chili Peppers -- Stadium Arcadium. It's only a matter of time until I hate the Chili Peppers again after hearing them eight times an hour on the radio.
3. Tool -- 10,000 Days. One of the sickest, most insane live bands I've ever seen.
35. Taking Back Sunday -- Louder Now. Haven't heard this yet and while I liked their previous two albums, I'm in no rush to hear this one. Strange huh?
42. Panic At The Disco -- A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. I refuse to use the exclamation point after Panic.
56. All-American Rejects -- Move Along. I think all the punk-ish bands on the chart this week dropped spots. This one dropped 10.
76. Fall Out Boy -- From Under the Cork Tree. This one dropped 20 spots.
80. Thursday -- A City By The Light Divided. This one is down 60 spots. Ouch. What the fuck does that title mean anyway?

mxpxjf I'll admit that I bought it. I'm not sure why. It's just as bad as their first one. May 18, 2006
CaptainSuperhero I would assume all the trendy scene kids that live around me. The band is local to here ... and I hate them for it. May 18, 2006
kingjapan Just give it up bro, no one cares any more. May 18, 2006
