Revelation To Release Anti-Matter Anthology

Posted by Eddie Cash on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 4:38 PM

Samiam, Into Another, Quicksand, Rage Against The Machine, Sick Of It All, and Ian MacKaye are just SOME of the artists who will be featured in a new book coming from Revelation Records called The Anti-Matter Anthology: A 1990s Post-Punk & Hardcore Reader. The man behind the collection is Norm Brannon who played in some of the decade's most influential bands including Ressurection, 108, Shelter, Texas Is The Reason and New End Original.

Norm said the following in his announcement:

"Between 1993 and 1995 -- right in the middle of forming Texas Is The Reason -- I was much better known for a fanzine I published out of my New York City bedroom. That fanzine, called Anti-Matter, was an incredibly important experience to me that I've always looked upon fondly. It was more than just a music magazine; it was a dialogue between a bunch of twenty-something kids whose dysfunctional teenage years brought them into the hardcore punk scene without an exit strategy. It was about growing up, sometimes embarrassingly and other times triumphantly, in public."

Stay tuned for more about the book, including information on a special book release show, which 108 is already saying "will be SICK."
