Guitar Hero: World Tour has added three of Epitaph Records' most important bands in a new track pack. The set, available now on XBOX360 and PS3, features NOFX's "Linoleum" from Punk In Drublic, Rancid's "Ruby Soho" from ... And Out Come The Wolves and Bad Religion's "21st Century Digital Boy" which is presumably the Against the Grain version, not the Stranger Than Fiction version since this is the "Epitaph" track pack.

Evergreen Terrace Drummer Injured In Bike Accident

Evergreen Terrace drummer Kyle Mims was injured in a bike accident on Wednesday. The band posted this update: After yesterday's practice, Kyle (drummer) was in a horrific bike accident. He was rushed to the emergency room and released late last night full of stitches and a broken clavicle (collar bone). Unfortunately he will have to have surgery and physical therapy for the next 4-8 weeks. So for obvious reasons he will not be with us on our upcoming headlining shows or the Summer Slob tour with The Acacia Strain.

Every Time I Die's response to the departure of their drummer:

After 11 years of being involved with this band, Mike "Ratboy" Novak has
indeed decided to quit Every Time I Die. Yesterday morning we received
text messages that he wasn't going to continue anymore. 15 years ago,
when someone left their band, they would get drunk, fight their
friends, and we'd learn about it from Kurt Loder at 10 minutes before
the hour. Today it's in a text messages and you guys find out on a
messageboard. To be honest, it was something we have seen coming for
some time now, but were uncertain as to exactly when or how it was

A Wilhelm Scream To Release 12" EP

A Wilhelm Scream, who recently signed to Paper + Plastick Records, will release a self-titled 12" EP early this fall.  The band produced and recorded the EP at their Black & Blue studio in New Bedford, MA, along with their live sound engineer James Whitten.  Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis) will mix the five song EP, which the band says "is nearly 40 minutes of music and is full of surprises."

Converge Completes Tracking

Converge have announced that they have officially completed tracking their upcoming new album with mixing now underway. The effort is expected out later this year through Epitaph and will feature a number of guest appearances, including The Red Chord drummer Brad Fickeisen, all members of Genghis Tron, Blacklisted frontman George Hirsch and Trivikrama Dasa of 108.

Deftones Scrap Album In Production

Deftones have decided to scrap their new album. Titled Eros, the album was a group of songs that featured currently hospitalized bass player Chi Cheng who was in a severe car accident. Says the band:

The songs recorded for Eros are very special to us as they are the latest with Chi (and we certainly hope not the last); they have history and significant meaning to us. However, as we neared completion on Eros, we realized that this record doesn’t best encompass and represent who we are currently as people and as musicians. And although those songs will see the light of day at some point, we collectively made the decision that we needed to take a new approach, and with Chi’s condition heavy on our minds while doing so.
