Atom And His Package

Interview with Atom on Nov 30, 2000 by Archive Bot

This interview was done via email while Atom was on tour with Har Mar Superstar. His newest release "Redefining Music", is out now on Hopeless Records.

PB: Who do you prefer.......... The Backstreet Boys or N'sync?
A: I haven't heard any of the N'sync songs, and I kind of like that "I want it that way" song, so I vote BB.

PB: Who are your musical influences?
A: All songs that I have liked ever.

PB: Do you like gummy bears or swedish fish more and why?
A: I don't like either.

PB: Where did you get the name Atom and HIs Package?
A: It was a really dumb idea. I thought it was funny. It isn't.

PB: What was the best/worst show you ever played, and who was it with?
A: Best show was with Karp. Worst show....... tied for 8 million shows where the p.a. sucks.

PB: What is your favorite venue?
A: Koo's Cafe in Santa Ana, CA. Volunteer, kid-run, and it's run well.

PB: How would you define the genre of punk rock?
A: Music that accompanies a lot of littering.

PB: Where is your favorite place that you have toured?
A: Israel

PB: Who do you dig more........ Anna Nicole Smith or Dolly Parton?
A: I have no idea who Anna Nicole Smith is. I like Judge Reinhold.

PB: What's your favorite song to perform:
A: Pumping Iron for Enya.

PB: What is your mode of transportation when on tour?
A: My mom's car.

PB: Do you have a criminal record? Is so....... what for?
A: No. Though I got detained at the border and fined a bunch of money going into Canada once.
PB: Who did you vote for in this year's election and why?

A: Gore, because Pennsylvania was a swing state, and he's less awful than the idiot who won.

PB: What would you like to say to all those fans who have been at your shows since day one?

A: I'm glad you like the songs I make. Yow!
