This interview was conductued via email with Dave (vocals) of Big D and The Kids Table, while on tour in Europe. Their latest release is "Good Luck" off of Fork In Hand Records, and they're currently on tour with MU330 and The Lawrence Arms. 

PB: Where did you get the name Big D and The Kids Table?
BD: In the movie True Romance, the body guard of the pimp named Drexel is Big D. The Kids Table part is just an inside joke gone bad..........

PB: Who is G.L.D. (from the song G.L.D.)?
BD: Can't say!

PB: Who are the bands influences?
BD: Operation Ivy, Inside Out, Skankin Pickle, Kurtis Blow, Kenny Rogers.

PB: Who's hotter............. Pamela Anderson or Wynonna Judd?
BD: You Timmy............ you're hotter!

PB: What is your all-time favorite venue?
BD: The Rat, but it's gone now. 

PB: What is the best/worst show and with whom did you play?
BD: The best was the first and second New England Ska Fests and the worst........... The Brass Mug in Florida (but the bands were fun).

PB: I know you guys run Fork In Hand Records in Boston. Where did the name come from?
BD: Steve (from Bug D) came up with the name and the split album with Lounge went to press. After that we just signed our friends bands and other bands that needed help.

PB: Where is the most amazing place you have ever toured?
BD: Europe! More specific............ Prague in the Czech Republic.

PB: Do you prefer gummy bears or swedish fish and why?
BD: Swedish fish, because te gummy bears are fucking posers.

PB: Who did you vote for in this years presidential election?
BD: The shiffty pretty guy, not the dumb guy. 

PB: What's the most important issue you think the nation needs to address?
BD: Racism, sexism, and intollerance in general.

PB: What's your favorite song to perform live?
BD: G.L.D. , What, and L A X.

PB: Do you have any plans on a new album and do you have a release date planned?
BD: In about a year, but we may have an ep released soon.

PB: Who has the best/worst hygiene in the band?
BD: hehehehehehhe what's hygiene?

PB: What would you like to say to the fans who come to even the shows no one else goes to?
BD: I know I don't make money mom and dad, but it's fun.
